BIOGRAPHY &
PERSONAL STATEMENT

Hi, I'm Angelica! I currently hold a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Instructional Design from Grand Canyon University and my Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Music Education from Kean University. I have six years of instructional design and education experience under my belt.

Throughout my experience, I have created multiple instructional design projects, ranging from eLearning, microlearning modules, and assessments. As a former music teacher, I was granted the opportunity to design, implement, and evaluate an original instructional solution about singing technique and vocal anatomy to a target audience of fifteen students. With my original instructional resources, students learned about vocal anatomy, singing technique, and vocal strain prevention while fulfilling all music curriculum requirements.

 

My passion for instructional design evolved from my teaching experience, which began during the pandemic. Having exposure to various educational platforms, technology, and learning modalities opened doors to new opportunities within the teaching field, which then sparked my interest in pursuing instructional design. Teaching and instructional design closely relate, as they both hold so many opportunities and transferrable skills to educate audiences of all different backgrounds.
